Role Required: Bank Connect Administrator
Your Bank Connect Administrator may be someone different from your primary NetSuite Administrator(s). Often Bank Connect Administrators are the primary relationship holder with the bank — a controller or senior finance executive — however, the Admin can be set up without payment approval access if your company prefers to assign a security or integration admin.
Activating Bank Connect requires an active Financial Institution. If you do not have one, follow the guide to Create a Financial Institution.
Activate Company
After installing Bank Connect, you'll need to activate your plug-in:
Navigate to Bank Connect → Bank Connect Setup → Activation.
Enter the Activation Key you received via email or from your bank, then click Submit to Activate. Sign in with your credentials to Authorize your Bank Connection.
Once signed in and connected to your bank, you will see Account Services & Entitlements.
Link Bank Users
Note: The bank user linking step applies only to payment users. If your company is enrolled in Information Reporting only, you will only need to link enrolled bank accounts as part of your company activation.
Navigate to Account Services & Entitlements and click the carrot on the side and it will show a dropdown menu. Click Link Users & Accounts.
-
The Link Users & Accounts section shows your company's enrolled Users in the left column, and the Linked Employee dropdown list of NetSuite users on the right.
Select the corresponding NetSuite user from the Linked Employee dropdown to link it with the bank user.- A single NetSuite user can only be linked to one bank user.
- You may choose to leave users unlinked — these users will not be able to use the approvals dashboard.
Link Bank Accounts
In the Account Linking section, you will see the list of enrolled bank accounts for your company.
-
From the Linked Account dropdown, select the corresponding NetSuite bank account to link it with the bank account.
- A single NetSuite ledger can only be linked to one bank account.
- You may choose to leave accounts unlinked — these accounts will not be available for payments or bank statement data import.
Click Save User & Account Links button to save the changes.
